What Gray Hair Color Is Right For You

Gray or white hair tends to look best with pink, olive, and dark complexions. If you are very pale, you’ll probably look washed-out and should consider highlights or low-lights. Brown hair that looks mousy as the gray comes in can be brightened and enriched by adding in highlights and low-lights.

Another good option if you’re just starting to go gray is to use a semi permanent glaze. This will stain a lot of the gray, and when the color starts to fade, you won’t have a root line. If your gray comes in wiry, it’s because it’s dry, so use a weekly deep condition to moisturize and calm it down. To counteract any yellow tones, get a violet-based gloss at the salon every six to eight weeks; it coats the hair and gives it shine.

You will be amazed at the many different gray hair color and tones of gray that is available. See what is closest to your natural changing hair. Some women gray in spots and not in an even pattern. By using a gray hair color you can turn gray with a more even, natural look.

Going gray does not have to be a dreaded thing. Chose a gray hair color that compliments your skin tone and love the hair you are in. Gray is a beautiful color that can add a youthful and fresh look to your face. Women who try to color their hair too dark at an older age enhances their age. Oily Hair Care

Oily or Greasy hair looks lank and oily and needs frequent washing. Oily hair can be due to a hormonal imbalance; a diet too hygiene fatty foods; washing too often; or sometimes because the scalp has larger oil glands than normal.

Below, you will find some hints and tips to help manage and care for oily hair:

      1.    Use a mild shampoo, shampoo for oily hair, shampoo for dry scalp, or a baby shampoo

      2.    Wash oily hair daily, but concentrate the shampoo on the hair away from the scalp to remove the excess oil from the hair, not on the scalp itself, because this can dry the scalp even more

      3.    Always rinse your hair thoroughly with cool or lukewarm water, because soap residue can make oily hair worse

      4.    Use a hot oil treatment directly on the scalp itself, gently massaging the oil into the scalp and then rinsing the oily hair thoroughly afterward

      5.    If hair is very oily, do not use conditioner at all, or use conditioner only on the tips or ends of the hair

      6.    Oily hair is likely shiny enough, so avoid using hair gloss gel or shine hair care products on oily hair

      7.    For extremely oily hair, a vinegar rinse, comprised of one (1) part vinegar to four (4) parts water can help remove oil from your hair, but be sure to avoid using vinegar on the scalp

      8.    Don’t brush oily hair frequently, because brushing oily hair can actually cause the scalp to produce more oil
