Well,my mom used a brown hair dye to color her black hair yesterday. Anywayz,when I was coloring her hair yesterday,I started from the bottom up and did the roots last. The final result wasnt so great. Only her roots were brown n the rest of her hair was Black still.We left the color on for about 45 minutes.

You can’t dye black hair into brown unless you bleach it.
Having black hair and just putting in brown hair dye won’t do anything;
you need bleach to set the “blank canvas” to dye hair; then you can do it any color.
